Please be sure to give teachers and counselors plenty of time to write a letter of recommendation. (Think weeks, instead of days, when possible!) They want to be able to put a lot of time and thought into each letter. Filling out a Senior Brag Sheet to give them along with your request for a letter will give them a lot of information to help them in this process- you can print one out from below or come by the Counseling Office to pick one up. 

FAFSA

The 2026-2027 FASFA in now OPEN! 

The FAFSA is the Free Application for Federal Student Aid. Completing it is important, so that you can see the federal funding available to you for college in the form of grants, work studies and loans. The FAFSA gives you your SAI, or student Aid Index, which many scholarships will ask for to determine your financial need. Colleges and career schools use your FAFSA info to determine how much financial aid you are eligible for.  Seniors must either complete the FAFSA, or sign a waiver.(Available in the Counseling office) We highly recommend completing the FAFSA  even if you aren't completely sure about your post-grad plans, just so you know what options you have for paying for college. 

It will take you around one hour (most people complete it in less!) to fill out the FAFSA form. You and your parent/guardian will need to complete it together. You and your parent/guardian will both need verified FAFSA IDs- make sure to register for those ahead of time, as they can take a few days to go through. The Granite Guarantee

The Granite Guarantee is a NH financial aid program that makes higher education possible for qualified NH students by covering the cost of tuition for up to 4 years. The program is currently offered at the University of New Hampshire, Keene State College, and Plymouth State University.  Students must be a Pell Grant recipient and a resident of New Hampshire.
