Teen Health: Body Image and Self-Esteem

  • Bullying has serious consequences for both the perpetrator and the target.  Get the facts and if this issue arises for you/your student, see a school counselor or administrator.
  • Know the facts about suicide and suicide prevention among youth.  If you or a someone you know is at risk for suicide - seek immediate assistance with a school counselor or other trusted adult and do not leave the person alone.

Parenting and Family Resources

  • Lakes Region Community Services Family Resource Center offers several free support and education services to local families including but not limited to parenting classes, financial planning, healthcare navigation, child care resources and Autism support.
  • Child and Family Services is based in Manchester but has an office in Laconia.  CFS is a private, non-profit,charitable organization that offers a variety of programs for families including but not limited to substance abuse prevention and treatment, family counseling, parenting workshops, volunteer opportunities and support groups.
